Pre-Matted Aspect Masks Available For Your Video
Hey guys. I’ve been using these aspect masks for a while and I thought that it would be a good idea to share them with you all. They’re simple to use. All that I ask is that you STUMBLE, DIGG, ETC this page and that your share them with others in the filmmaking community!
WHAT DO I DO WITH THEM?
These masks will crop your footage to the desired aspect ratio. You’d probably want to use them in After Effects for your final render instead of your editing app. This will allow you more flexibility to reposition your footage when you do the online.
How do they work? Since they’re pre-matted, just throw these bad boys on the top layer of your timeline and you’re all set. Your footage will show through the white areas, leaving only the black bars which crop your footage.
WHAT ASPECT RATIOS DO YOU HAVE AVAILABLE?
Their names describe what they are.
There’s one that’s “4×3—2.35-full.gif” — this one is for cropping 4×3 footage to 2.35:1 aspect ratio.
There another that’s “16×9—1.85-full.gif” — this is for cropping 16×9 footage to 1.85:1 aspect ratio.
Here’s the list:
WHERE CAN I FIND THEM?
Remember, please STUMBLE, DIGG, etc. this article and spread the word. Others may find these useful. Send them here so that they can download them too!
